On 1 January 2024, Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No.680 “Railway operating Regulations” of 28 November 2023 shall come into force.
These Regulations prescribe national requirements for areas not covered by European Union legislation:
- the critical parameters for the technical operation of the railway infrastructure;
- the basic operating principles of the Class B signalling system;
- critical parameters for the technical operation of vehicles;
- traffic organisation principles for manoeuvring and emergency situations;
- non-standard transportation;
- track machines and mechanisms.
Along with the operation of the new regulations, 03.08.2010. Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No.724 regarding Technical operation of Railways, the rights of which have been revised and divided according to the norms of the binding European Union legal acts, shall expire.
